Perth , the capital of Western Australia is a fun city to visit and is popular because of the many things to do in the city and from it.
The city itself is a cosmopolitan mix of cafes, restaurants and shopping and backpackers will also find plenty of hostels and tourist operators here, so it's a great base for any traveler.
Anyone wanting to chill out work on their tan or give surfing a go should head to the Sunset Coast . The sunset coast includes stretches of beaches and a collection of suburbs from west Perth to the north western side of Perth city. The whole area is located within easy reach of the city, or why not head to the portside suburb of Fremantle for alfresco dining and great nightlife.
Day trippers will enjoy the Swan Valley which is located just 20 minutes from the city. You will need at least day to explore as there are over 40 vineyards and 20 breweries located in the region. It's a great place for a fun day out with friends and as many of the wineries and breweries are run by families who have been in the area for generations, it is also a great place to connect with locals and learn more about life on the West Coast.
If its nature you are looking to connect with consider a trip to Rottnest Island located a short ferry ride from either Perth City or Fremantle. The island has a no cars allowed policy so it's the perfect place to indulge the senses with sun baking, swimming, cycling and taking some time out from the buzz of Perth .
Perth is holiday destination worthy of a lengthy stay so if you can fit it into your schedule spend some time here getting into the mood of this Western Australian city.
